God’s Constant Love and Compassion

Lamentations 3:22 “Because of the Lords great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail” Have you ever had someone you loved do something that embarrassed or hurt you? Probably. But did you stop loving that person? No! You might have been disappointed, but you kept on loving them. In a far greater way, God still loves us even when we disappoint Him or do something wrong. He loves us in the good times, but He also loves us when things aren’t going our way and we begin to doubt Him. God’s love for us is constant-in the good times and the bad, “for His compassions never fail.” Think about Peter for a moment. He was one of Jesus closest disciples, yet after Jesus was arrested, Peter denied even knowing Him. But Jesus forgave Peter when he repented and returned to Him, and Peter became one of the most powerful preachers of the gospel in that generation. Difficult times come to us all. Will you let them drive you away from God-or draw you closer to Him in trust and faith? The time to decide is now.
